Indoor salt water pools

The pool facilities at Atlantis Dive Centre have been conceptualised to provide a skills learning environment in a completely controlled setting. The two indoor salt water pools are between 3 and 3.5 metres deep; a depth which ensures novice divers can practise equalising before they reach the ocean and master their buoyancy in safe surroundings.

Experienced divers will find the pools handy for practising technical skills. The specialty pool is 3 metres deep and is ideal for those wanting to achieve their Peak Performance Buoyancy speciality. It also features a covered training platform at 1.5 metres which allows divers to practice wreck penetration techniques in a safe environment with perfect visibility. The skills pool is 3.5 metres deep and contains a mini submarine – the Shamal – which divers of all levels can explore, and is ideal for those wishing to master their underwater photography or videographer skills.

Each pool also has a quick-drain capability – in the event of an emergency the water levels can be dropped instantly at the push of a button, enabling easier access to or from the pool.

Rental equipment

There is more to a dive trip than the hour or so you spend underwater. Comfortable, well maintained dive equipment is every bit as essential as your ability to equalise.

Our attention to detail starts long before you get on the boat. The majority of our rentable equipment is provided by Mares, one of the world’s most well known and trusted diving equipment manufacturers. All equipment is brand new and our BCDs, regulators and tanks are serviced and sterilised regularly. Air tanks are available in a variety of different sizes to ensure optimum comfort and manoeuvrability for those who need it.

Rental equipment includes:

Masks and snorkels (Scuba Pro)
BCD and regulator (Scuba Pro)
Full foot fins
Wetsuits (3mm thick, long)
Dive knives and wreck reels
Aluminium tanks (variety of sizes)

Boats

To maximise our divers enjoyment, we load all of your equipment on to the boat before you board, and our fleet of golf buggies will drop you off at the jetty so you don’t need to waddle down to the water in your wetsuit.

We have two brand new, purpose built luxury 37’ Sea Master boats to take you to your dive site, each of which is equipped with GPS fish finders and VHF radios. Each boat comfortably accommodates 10 divers, and has full length shade to protect you from the sun, an on board toilet, plus plenty of refreshments for your surface interval time or the boat ride home.
